Jennifer Heatley

Jennifer has a dynamic background in psychology, art, women’s studies, and bodywork, all of which inform her counseling practice. Her undergraduate and graduate degrees are from Edinboro University (1997), and Binghamton University (2007), magna and suma cum laude, respectively. Her bodywork training was completed at the Finger Lakes School of Massage in 2002. Jennifer is dually licensed in the state of New York to practice both as a massage therapist (LMT) and social worker (LMSW).

Jennifer has diverse work experience within a wide array of settings, and with populations such as incarcerated women, rural and urban youth, and geriatrics. She has been working as a School Social Worker for the past 2 years, and her growing specialty is working creatively with children, adolescents, and young adults to foster optimal resilience and strength. She has experience working with “spirited” children of all types, and children with disabilities including those in the autistic spectrum. Working with children and adolescents often necessitates working with families, and she has experience with step-, LGBT, and alternative family systems from an array of cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.
